Byron is the original, founding member of the B&L team, holding over 46 years of experience in the construction industry. As president of B&L Mechanical and Consulting, Inc., Byron serves as the hub of the B&L fan wheel and is very well-received and respected in the HVAC field. In addition to preparing estimates and managing projects for clients, Byron manages the day to day business operations of the company. Byron’s broad and diverse background allows him to contribute a deep knowledge base of system design, project management, sales, and accounting to the firm. Byron is a Boston native who graduated from Springfield Technical College, achieving his degree in HVAC.
Kevin is the original owner of Hanlon Sheetmetal, Inc., where he initiated his company’s operations from the ground up over 29 years ago. Prior to his very successful business endeavor, Kevin was a member of the sheet metal union for 13 years, during which he completed a four-year apprenticeship school program. Kevin contributes 45 years of in-depth experience in the areas of project management, system design, sales and, of course, an extensive knowledge base in sheet metal design and fabrication to the firm.
Josh has over 20 years in the HVAC industry in project management, estimating and sales. As Vice President he works closely with his clients during all phases of pricing and construction for both plan/spec. and design build projects. He has vast experience in all areas of HVAC construction. Josh graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering Massachusetts Maritime Academy and completed ABC’s Project Management Program at Purdue University.
Jeff has more than 32 year of experience in the construction industry. He contributes knowledge of Design Build, Value Engineering, Project & Contract Management, Estimating & Sales, and Energy Management to the B&L Team. As Vice President of Project Development, Jeff plays a key role in the company’s development and leadership. Jeff graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering of Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Jeff is also the veteran at B&L, having served over 11 years in the military.
Steven brings over thirty years of engineering, construction, and teaching experience to the B&L Mechanical & Consulting, Inc. team. This includes extensive experience in the engineering, design, sales, and construction of refractory systems. During his mid-career, Steve embarked on a sixteen-year career detour when he was approached to come teach physics at an inner-city high school…easily the toughest, most demanding job he’s ever had! Steve has a love and passion for learning. He holds Bachelors’ Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He is a former Adjunct Professor in the MBA Program at the Van Loan Graduate School of Business at Endicott College. He holds an EIT designation and is a licensed construction supervisor (CSL). He has held numerous engineering management and construction management positions. In the spirit of being a life-long learner, Steve feels privileged to serve as a mentor to some of his former students to this day.
